Zone Systems Digital NMX-1616

The NMX-1616 is an audio matrix with a digital signal processor (DSP) that offers a complete and versatile solution for handling and processing audio signals. With this matrix, sound systems can be configured with simple control for the end user. It includes powerful audio signal processing tools to adjust and enhance the signal for any venue or application, achieving the best results for sound distribution. It gives the installer the ability to set up sound systems with multiple inputs and outputs, while providing the user with an easy way to control the sound.

It is based on an ADI SHARC 21489 architecture, with 40-bit floating point and a high processing capacity (400 MIPS, 1600 MFLOPS).
It has 16 analog inputs and 16 analog outputs. Additionally, it includes a USB sound card input/output channel for playing and recording on the PC or using it with video calling software.
One of the standout features of the NMX-1616 audio matrix is its signal processing algorithms. The main ones include: Echo Cancellation (AEC) for video conferences, Acoustic Feedback Cancellation (AFC) allows flexible microphone and speaker placement, improving speech amplification and delivering audio where it’s needed. Noise Suppression (ANS) effectively removes stationary noise that is not voice-related. Automatic Gain Control (AGC) ensures that inputs have an optimal level. In addition to other features such as automatic mixing and priority control, it also has processing over the signal dynamics like parametric filters, graphic filters, noise gates, expanders, compressors, delays, crossover networks, and limiters.
Each channel has a volume control that can operate independently or combine two channels to form a stereo channel.
The assignment matrix allows inputs to be assigned to outputs with independent volume for each assignment, enabling different mixes for each output.
Up to 16 scenes can be loaded with a memory function that auto-saves selected parameters from the last session.
8 GPIO ports for controlling actions on the matrix or other devices.
For conference systems, it includes PTZ camera control for debate tracking.

The matrix comes with a powerful modular configuration software. It can configure each input channel with 5 different processing modules and each output channel with 4 processing modules. The processing algorithms have extensive parameterization. It enables great configuration flexibility and customization to provide a solution for every installation, such as audio distribution systems, conference systems, etc. The configuration software can manage multiple matrices to form a complex system.
With the software, it is possible to create custom control panels for use on touch screens, tablets, or smartphones (Android and iOS), where only the necessary functions for each user can be displayed.
The matrix can be connected through an Ethernet port. It has UDP, RS-232, and RS-485 connectivity, as well as a communication protocol for integration with other control systems.

Thanks to its flexibility, it can be used for voice applications such as conference systems or video call rooms, as well as in music systems for restaurants, hotels, shopping malls, etc.
