The Cebada Market has installed a complete FONESTAR PA system
An EN-54 public address system for one of Madrid’s iconic markets
The Cebada Market was inaugurated on June 11th in 1875, becoming one of the most prominent markets in Madrid at the beginning of the 20th century.
Due to poor sanitary conditions the building was demolished in 1956 and then rebuilt in 1958 in a style that was more contemporary and more practical.
In 2013 the market premiered a more colorful and artistic new look that transformed into an icon of La Latina neighborhood.
Unpaved with a trendy steel look, demolished, resurrected, modernized … The Barley Market has been, *is and will continue to be the heart of La Latina neighborhood. The Barley Market has long survived the forces driving law, fashion, and time. And yet, there it remains, presiding over the plaza with which it has shared a name, longer than any resident can even remember.
